Computer Viruses

I've been called upon frequently in recent days to help rid PC's of troublesome infections. If you are seeing pop-ups when you are browsing the internet or annoying alerts and warnings on your desktop . . . your computer probably has been infected by a virus.

No software on the market can prevent you from getting computer viruses - it's just not possible.  Virus creators are too crafty and creative.

You're not doing anything wrong . . . or misusing your computer.  Anyone can become infected while using their computer in a normal and safe way.  You can be careful about your own physical health . . . but you will still come down with a cold or the flu occasionally.

I can't protect your PC from becoming infected . . . but if it IS infected, I can clean it up for you.  Contact me if I can help.

Here are some other signs of infection:
1.  A change in your browser Home Page
2.  A change in your browser search engine (Google, Yahoo, etc.)
3.  Button clicks do not take you where you intended to go on the
       internet.
4.  Fake alerts and warnings
5.  Slow and sluggish computer functions
6.  Some functionality is gone - programs that won't open, elements
          that will not longer run.
7.  Cannot access Control Panel or System Tools

ANYTHING that your computer is doing that is peculiar, unproductive, or annoying . . . may be a sign of infection.
