Test Your Internet Speed

How fast is your Internet Connection?

 

Open the Google search page in your internet browser and type the words "internet speed test."

When you search for that phrase - the top option will look like the screen cap above.  Click on "RUN SPEED TEST" and it will run a quick test that will tell you how many MPS (megabytes per second) your computer is clocking when it downloads information coming into your computer and when it uploads information from your computer to the internet. 

10 to 20 MPS is on the low end of normal.

20 to 30 MPS speeds are more desirable.

Many internet service providers can provide from 300 MPS to a 
Terabyte today according to location and availability.
